Along with their megalomaniacal schemes, Ghost Ship will again feature original installations by the leaders of the Bay Area’s dynamic large-scale production art community, and the world’s most exciting art-cars. The soundscape of Ghost Ship will be electrified by multiple stages hosted by top DJ crews featuring more than 70 of the Bay Area’s finest DJ’s/ Also for the first time ever, Ghost Ship will feature headline DJ sets by two legendary dance music producers, JAMES LAVELLE (UNKLE) on Friday and DJ AFRIKA BAMBAATAA on Saturday. Conrad Frank, creator of San Francisco's popular drag cabaret sensation Katya Smirnoff-Skyy, at the title Mommie character.

Ideation by Aaron LoebIdeation

By Aaron Loeb

Directed by Josh Costello

    I love Lucy at Currant Theatre Nov 11 - 23, 2014

I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is the brand-new hit stage show adapted from the most beloved program in television history! America’s favorite foursome – Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel – is live on stage and in color for the very first time!

It’s 1952 and you are a member of the studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I LOVE LUCY® episodes. Imagine stepping back in time onto the Desilu Playhouse soundstage where a charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process, the 1950s hi-fidelity technology and this brand-new thing called “television.” The episodes begin and you witness, firsthand, the side-splitting antics of that crazy redhead in the Ricardo’s New York apartment and thrill to the Cuban sounds of “The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra” at the famed Tropicana Nightclub. In-between scenes? The Crystaltone Singers perform live advertising jingles of the show’s newest sponsors in perfect 50s style harmony. Can you say “Brylcreem?!”

L.A. Examiner’s Ron Irwin says I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is “an absolutely brilliant and utterly engaging tribute to that iconic television show!” TV Guide’s William Keck calls it “the most entertaining stage production I’ve seen in years – including Broadway!”

The truth is in the title – whether young or old, everybody really does LOVE LUCY!
