
Sirius XM Radio host Seth Rudetsky will offer two performances of his Broadway @concert series at the Nourse Theater in San Francisco. Former Smash star and veteran of Broadway's Wicked Megan Hilty will perform February 7, followed by an April 25 concert with Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominee Vanessa Williams. Drag superstar Varla Jean Merman will be the opening act of Williams' performance.
During the performances, Rudetsky prompts intimate, behind-the-scenes stories from his Broadway guests, who also offer selections from their musicial theater repertoire. The Broadway @ The Nourse concert series will benefit San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Project Open Hand, and San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus.
In addition to her starring turn in Wicked, Hilty earned a Drama Desk Award nomination for her performance in Broadway's 9 to 5. After her leading role in the Broadway-themed television series Smash, she returned to NBC to star opposite Sean Hayes on the sitcom Sean Saves the World.
Williams made her Broadway debut in 1994 in Kiss of the Spider Woman, and in 2002, she earned a Tony nomination for her performance as the Witch in the revival of Into the Woods. In 2013, she performed in the Broadway revival of Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful and was a guest performer with the Cotton Club musical revue After Midnight.
